Free Education Resources

There are several free educational resources available online that may allow displaced housekeepers to develop new skills, making them more competitive candidates for available jobs. Here are some notable ones recommended by our staff: 

 

Lynda.com (LinkedIn Learning) - This is generally $25 per month, but many local libraries partner with Lynda.com and having a library card will get you access to thousands of hours of professional education courses.

 

https://www.khanacademy.org/ - Free easy to follow videos that cover any level of math, science, engineering, computer science, finance, and humanities.

 

https://www.codecademy.com/ - Free training to learn a computer programming language. Very beginner-friendly and thought out material.


https://www.duolingo.com/ - Free language learning courses that take a gamified approach to language learning.
